 Can I rent any book?

  • Select titles are available to rent and noted on the shelf tag with the book.

Direct Digital Access

  • What is it?
    • It provides access to interactive online course materials that are the most cost effective option and give you access to your digital materials 2 weeks before the first day of class.
  • How do I know if I have one of these courses?
    • When you go to purchase your textbooks on the Spartan Store website, there will be a note for those courses that reads: DIRECT DIGITAL ACCESS BOOK - NO NEED TO ORDER - YOUR STUDENT ACCOUNT WAS CHARGED
  • How do I access?
    • On your Canvas page, your instructor will have information and a link posted to access the material.
  • What if I drop the class or wish to not use the online material?
    • You would need to “Opt Out” of using the material, this must be done no later than the drop/add date to be credited.
    • Steps on how to “Opt Out” should be posted by your instructor on your Canvas page and found at this link.

 

E-Book Help

  • FIRST, please visit ycpbookstore.redshelf.com and you must create an account using your YCP email address. 
  •  If you purchase an e-book on the Spartan Store website
    • Go to the Redshelf website and log in.
    • Your e-books will be listed on your “My Shelf” tab on your home page.
    • If you are still having trouble, please visit textbook customer service in the bookstore or visit solve.redshelf.com.
  • If you purchase an e-book in the Spartan Store
    • On the Spartan Store shelves there are white slips to take to the register to make the purchase.
    • After payment, your receipt will print a code to redeem.
    • Once you log on to Redshelf, enter the code off your receipt in the “Redeem Code” box.

Returns & Exchanges:

  • Returns will be accepted with a register receipt up to the drop/add date of the current term for a full refund. After this date, items are final sale.
  •  New textbooks must be returned free from any damage, shrink wrapped textbooks must still be sealed and any inserted codes must not be scratched off. Spartan Store management has the right to review any questionable returns.
  •  Course notes, lab notebooks and loose leaf books/packages are not returnable.

Refunds:

  • Refunds will be issued in the original form of payment, any cash transactions may be issued as a check.
  • Ebooks are non-returnable.
  •  Credit card refunds must have the credit card or card information that was used on the original purchase. It may take multiple business days for the credit to appear on your account.
